Students have the right to be officially heard in matters where they feel they have a complaint against College policy or personnel. Distance learning students are encouraged to resolve problems when they first arise with the faculty member assigned to the course and the Director of Distance Learning. Only when problems cannot be solved informally in conference with the faculty member and the Director should the student resort to formal grievance procedures described in the Vernon College Student Handbook.
